About the Business

From wind and solar farms to biomass power stations, our government has signed international agreements, pledging to cut the huge British carbon footprint. To date we are behind on our carbon targets for 2020 and are therefore liable to pay billions of pounds in fines. So, finally the government is ready to launch a number of initiatives to help us all stop heating our homes and workplaces with fossil fuels. Heating buildings is the largest contributor of the British carbon output.

At Scarlett's we have been rightly sceptical of the very many technologies and associated products that that have flooded the British market over the past 10 years. All claim the same thing; to cut your carbon use and energy bills. The problem being you need to have deep pockets for installation and many of the products do not suit our climate or traditional housing stock, but all that uncertainty is about to change. The government is now helping with green loans for renewable energy installations (green deal).
